Consultation Terms

Last updated: 10 August 2026

1. Who we are

LALALER is a trading name of Wig Who Wig Me Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 09383145, registered office 75 Sevington Road, London NW4 3RU. Contact us at lalaler.hair@gmail.com.

2. What a consultation is

A consultation is time with us, and our expertise. It is a service in its own right.

We will talk through your hair history, how you live, what you have tried, what worked and what did not. We will look at colour, density, length, texture, parting and styling, and work out what is possible for you. You will leave with a clear understanding of your options, whether or not you go on to commission a piece.

3. What a consultation is not

  • It is not part of a commission and is not credited against the price of one.
  • It does not oblige us to offer you a commission, and we may decline.
  • It does not oblige you to commission anything.
  • It does not include a fitting, a sample piece, or a written technical specification.

4. Options and prices

  • Virtual, 30 minutes — £400 including VAT
  • Virtual, 60 minutes — £800 including VAT
  • In person in London, 60 minutes — £800 including VAT

Payment is due at booking and your slot is held once payment is received. Our studio is by appointment only and we give you the address when your appointment is confirmed. Travel to us is at your own cost.

5. Your right to change your mind

Because you are booking online, you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of booking and receive a full refund, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

If your consultation is more than 14 days away, that right applies in full.

If your consultation is within 14 days of booking, you are asking us to provide the service inside the cancellation period. By booking, you expressly request that we do so, and you acknowledge that once the consultation has taken place the service is fully performed and your right to cancel is lost. If you cancel before it takes place, we will refund you in proportion to what we have already done.

To cancel, email lalaler.hair@gmail.com.

6. Rescheduling

Once your 14 days have passed: with 7 days notice or more you may reschedule free, once. Between 48 hours and 7 days, you may reschedule once with a £100 administration fee. Under 48 hours, or if you do not attend, the fee is retained.

If you are more than 15 minutes late for a virtual consultation we will do our best to use the remaining time, but we cannot run over. If we need to reschedule, we will offer you the earliest alternative or a full refund, whichever you prefer.

7. Recording

We do not record consultations. Please do not record without asking us first. We take written notes and keep them, so that if you commission a piece we have what we discussed.

8. Preparing for a virtual consultation

Good natural daylight is recommended, along with a stable connection. Colour is the one thing that is difficult to judge accurately under artificial light, so if colour is a priority for you it is worth finding a bright spot — everything else we can cover regardless. If you currently wear a piece, please have it with you.

9. What happens afterwards

If we are able to take on your commission and you would like to proceed, we will send a written proposal setting out the direction, the price and the expected timescale. Separate written terms for the commission itself would then apply, and we will provide them to you along with the proposal.

We may not be able to offer a commission, because of capacity or because what you are looking for is not something we are the right maker for. We will tell you honestly, and the consultation fee still stands, because the advice was still given.

10. Your legal rights

We will carry out your consultation with reasonable care and skill, as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. A consultation is professional opinion and advice; we cannot guarantee any particular outcome, and what is achievable depends on the hair available and your requirements.

11. How we work together

We ask that communication stays courteous. We may end a consultation, and decline future bookings, where communication becomes abusive or threatening.

12. Your information

We will discuss your hair history, and often the reasons behind it. Some of what you tell us may relate to your health, and we treat it with particular care. See our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your own country’s courts.
